Latest News, views, guidance and yes...a bit of a moan
2026 Finals Day
The club annual tournament will be on the 5/9/2026 for Juniors and 06/09/2026 for Adults. Entries are now closed but please do come along to support the participants and enjoy the day
Ball Machines
We have two ball machines that are free to use by adult members and club coaches. On no account should juniors be permitted to operate these. They have fast moving parts and can seriously injure anyone without training on their use. The club will not be held responsible for any accident or injury caused by misuse, or ignoring this instruction.
In order to get the most from the ball machines, you do need to have training on their set-up. Please approach either Julie or Juliette for this. The remote for the larger (hopper) of the machines, is kept in the kitchen. Please replace this when your session has ended and don't take it home in your pocket. Please plug the machines in after use so that the next member will be able to enjoy a fully charged unit. If you encounter any operational issues, please advidse Julie or Juliette so that we can try and over-come them or send the units for a service.
Rusty Rackets / Beginner adult coaching

Court availability
In order to be most successful in securing a court at any time, please arrange your private games throughout the day where possible. Members cannot book courts.
Balls
Please note that all club balls should be returned to the clubhouse after play and emptied into the white basket in the hallway. These are free to use at the club and should not be taken home or kept solely for your own personal use. They remain the property of the club at all times.
PLEASE DO NOT USE "V" BALLS FROM BALL MACHINE BASKETS FOR SOCIAL OR PRIVATE GAMES. EQUALLY, PLEASE DO NOT USE STANDARD BALLS IN THE BALL MACHINES. THEY ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR THIS PURPOSE. THANKS
To ensure that you have a decent set of balls to play your games, we recommend that you always carry your own tube for when club balls have gone "missing" or have suffered from wet weather.
Floodlights
As everyone is aware, the costs for electricity are eye-watering. At the moment we are keeping floodlight usage free to members. Understandably, this might have to change at some stage in the future. If it does, we will of course inform you. In the meantime, please turn off the floodlights as soon as you have finished your game. Please do not leave this for someone else to do later.
The floodlights are on a timer and will switch off at 10pm. However, the user is still responsible for turning off the switch in the clubhouse. Failure to do so will mean that the lights come back on at 4pm the following day and could run for another 6 hrs if no one is present to turn them off.
CAN ALL MEMBERS PLEASE CLEAR YOUR RUBBISH FROM THE COURTS WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED PLAYING. THIS INCLUDES BANANA SKINS, REPLACEMENT GRIP WRAPPERS AND BALL CAN RING PULLS!
CHEWING GUM IS PREFERRED LEFT IN THE WRAPPER OR IN YOUR MOUTH. WE ARE REALLY KEEN FOR IT NOT TO BE DISCARDED ONTO THE PLAYING SURFACE.
PLEASE ALSO ENSURE THAT ALL THE GATES ARE LOCKED - ESPECIALLY THE MAIN GATE. SECURITY IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY.
DON'T FORGET TO WASH UP ANYTHING YOU USE IN THE CLUBHOUSE TOO. IF ANY BIN LOOKS OVERLY FULL IN THE CLUBHOUSE, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CREATE A NEW LAW OF PHYSICS BY FORCING MORE GARBAGE INTO THE RECEPTACLE. SIMPLY EMPTY THE BIN INTO THE WHEELY BIN BESIDE THE MAIN GATE, AND PLACE A NEW BIN LINER INTO THE SWING BIN.
Guests are permitted but a visitor fee must be paid in advance (£7 adults / £4 juniors / under 5's free) and the visitor's name and sponsor must be registered with Juliette prior to arrival at the club. Failure to follow this guidance may result in you being asked to leave. Please read the rules via the button below. Please note that any individual guest can only play on three occasions in a year regardless of whether they are guests of different members.
